A commercially driven, qualified accountant and business advisor, Ian has over 30 year’s senior financial management experience.  

He has wide-ranging commercial experience in financial management and reporting, corporate finance, business taxation, and accountancy litigation support. He has specialised in advising small to medium sized privately owned growth businesses and high net worth individuals. An expert witness he has dealt with several contentious legal issues arising from loss of earnings, matrimonial, damages claim, shareholder disputes encompassing share valuation and fraud investigations.

He acts and has acted for many clients within the UK and overseas with extensive experience in the business sectors of professional service firms, financial services, media, entertainment, leisure, construction, marketing, and distribution.

Utilising over 30 years experience of advising owner managed businesses Ian has established a virtual business advisory to assist business owners in growing their business and maximising value for future exit.

Client relationship partner Verallo Advisory LLP “Verallo” (formerly Taylorcocks Thames Valley LLP)

Verallo experienced rapid growth since Ian opened the office as founder in July 2010. The office providing a full audit, accounting and tax service to client’s focusing on business advice to owner managed growth businesses. The ethos or “DNA” of the firm was to become the most trusted advisor to clients.

Public AIM listed company which acquired “Rouse & Partners” in 2006. Ian oversaw a general practice portfolio of approximately 300 clients with gross recurring fees of circa £2m. Ian was a member of the regional office Management Board and had direct responsibility for Business development within the office.

Herbert Pepper & Partners (merging with Rouse and Partners in 2000)

Chartered and Certified Accountants specialising in advice to small and medium sized businesses. Ian became Senior Resident Partner in the Thames Valley office. He was responsible for the development of the Thames Valley client base of approximately 1000 clients with a fee income in excess of £1.4m. Ian successfully implemented full computerisation of management information, accounting, and taxation function.
